Dyersburg City Schools has implemented a significant upgrade of its physical security presence by purchasing the world’s leading weapons detection screening solution, Evolv Screening System. Evolv uses advanced sensors and artificial intelligence (AI) to detect weapons at venue entrances while providing visitors with a touchless, friction-free experience. Patrons are only searched with wands and/or have their bags checked if something is detected. Please note, certain items can set off the Evolv Screening System and need to be pulled from your bag before walking through the scanners.
Known items include but are not limited to:
Umbrellas
Laptops
Cameras
Glasses Cases
Portable Battery Chargers
When entering our stadiums, fields, and campuses, all visitors will pass through our Evolv Systems and find a staff trained to enforce the safety of our students, staff, community members, and visiting teams.
Please note: Guns, knives, weapons of any kind, drugs, cigarettes, vapes, and alcohol are not permitted on any of Dyersburg City Schools’ campuses. Dyersburg City Schools reserves the right to not allow any bag, item, etc. deemed inappropriate.
